Donelson is exactly right, if the Republican Party is ever expect to win back Congress or even at the White House they will have to become more inclusive and less exclusive. The religious right wing fringe section of the Republican Party is causing more harm that good. Despite what many Republicans believe to be true. Americans could care less about your so call tea party rallies. Most moderates like myself have strong religious values and do not support abortion but would never vote Republican because of the nature of their political ideology. What Donelson is trying to point out is that the moderates Republicans do not have a voice because of all the extreme members of the party like Paline. It's not that the Republican Party did not have valid points when they're pointing out government spending and regulations limposed pose by the past and current administration. It's just that no one in their right mind would trust McCain or Palin to be able to do to get better job than Oboma or Mrs. Clinton. Remember don't shoot the messenger just because the message is not what to want to hear.

Hey Donaldson...it may be time to step away from the desk and go away. You are too old and tired to see what is going on. What the Conservatives are saying about the Republican Party is, if you don't return to your conservative values and roots, then we will either purge you out, or make a third Conservative Party, if need be.
Now, that doesn't mean that the conservative politicians and the american people will split and divide the Republican Party.
What it means is, we are making the Republicans move to the right of the issues and values and principles, NOT to become a liberal socialist marxist democrat, like scarzarfavo, in Republican Party clothes.
Then once that message has been heard and understood, then the politicians in the Republican party can start looking and acting like the conservative opposition party once again like it used to be under President Ronald Reagan. If that means driving the Arlen Specters out, then good, we have purged the Party correctly, but we want to keep all moderates as well.
Arlen Specter and Dede Scarzafavo are, and were, never conservative or moderate republicans, they were liberal socialist democrats in Republican party clothes, that all.
