PLYMOUTH, Mass. -- As family and friends mourn a fallen U.S. paratrooper on Veteran's Day, his mother made an emotional plea to President Barack Obama that it's time to either bring home the troops or end the war in Afghanistan.

As a father of four sons I can imagine the pain of losing one to war. All I would ask that the POTUS either fight to win, or bring them home. Victory in my opinion is to damage Al Qaeda and the Taliban so much they can't influence the Afghan people. Firebomb every poppy field. Destroy every illegal weapon. It will take time and cost precious lives. In the long run it will save thousands back home. Either do it right, or wait for the next 911.

If Bush had no military experience, neither do thousands upon thousands of National Guard troops. I guess he learned to fly a jet at the local airfield in Midland. As a mother of two in the Air Force, I sympathize with this mother. My prayers and thoughts are with her. But I think that you son might not agree with you. My boys don't want it over until we win and until our president does the right thing, we cannot win.

I feel for her loss. My nephew is in Afghanistan and I worry for him constantly. Obama needs to get them all out of there if he is not going to pursue the military strategy the generals have requested. His indecision is getting to be a dangerous joke.
